Aurora Casket to Present at Kansas Funeral Directors Association State Convention
Leading casket provider offers continuing education on cremation and no service families

Aurora, IN — April 15, 2011 — The nation’s leading private casket manufacturer, Aurora Casket Company, will present at the Kansas Funeral Directors Association’s state convention on May 4 in Wichita, Kan. Aurora Casket Senior Professional Development Trainer Lacy Robinson, CFSP, will present “A Balanced Cremation Arrangement” at the continuing education event. Focusing on attitudes commonly held by cremation and no service families, Robinson will expound on how the arrangement conversation determines satisfaction and communicates understanding.

“The way the funeral home director structures that initial conversation determines the family’s likelihood of returning to that firm and recommending it to others,” Robinson said. “By breaking down the components of that conversation, including underlying attitudes and the questions and responses that yield the best results, funeral service professionals demonstrate empathy indicative of their commitment to quality service.”

As the percentage of families requesting cremation is estimated to be more than 50 percent by 2018, Aurora advocates adapting to consumer needs by combining superior communication skills with strong cremation knowledge.

“Obstacles become opportunities when directors are well-prepared with the options cremation families have,” Robinson said. “Knowing the right questions to ask and using those responses to make specific recommendations greatly assists families who might not otherwise know what they want.”

Additional information about the event and registration is available at http://www.kansasfda.org. Individuals interested in hosting Robinson or another Aurora Speakers Bureau member for an upcoming event may do so by calling 859.291.4302. Eagle Coach Announces Record-Breaking Sale to Funeral Auto Company in Louisville

Eagle Coach Announces Record-Breaking Sale to Funeral Auto Company in Louisville
Fleet of twenty-three Cadillac vehicles delivered

09.07.2010 – Louisville, KY – Eagle Coach Company, an internationally recognized professional vehicle manufacturer based in Amelia, OH, announced the sale of 23 vehicles to Funeral Auto Company in Louisville, KY. A first time sale for Eagle Coach, the auto company chose a fleet of eleven Cadillac Ultimate hearses and twelve Cadillac 6-door limousines.

The purchase decision took place after extensive study and cost analysis by the leadership of Funeral Auto Company, which is owned by a consortium of funeral directors in Louisville. David Owen, funeral director and president of Funeral Auto Company, led the development of the transaction.

“We needed vehicles that would be reliable, have low maintenance costs and retain outstanding resale value,” Owen said. “Eagle was the clear choice for that. But even more importantly, we wanted a great customer service team. I need to know the people behind the vehicles, and I found that in the staff at Eagle Coach, and Tommy Jones, owner of Jones Coach Sales.”

“A 23-car sale is no small endeavor,” Tommy Jones, Bowling Green, KY area Eagle dealer said. “We spent a lot of time talking with the leadership and working to understand their business needs. They made the decision to move forward with Eagle, and we’re looking forward to being their partner for a long time.”

All of the vehicles were chosen in platinum color. The hearses feature crown bands as well as other popular trim options, and the limousine companion cars were built with raised roofs for extra headroom.
