The Dragonfly Foundation Provides Dozens of Laptops and iPads, Along with Gaming Systems & Charging Stations To Cincinnati Children’s Hospital

CINCINNATI, OH – September 29, 2015 – Today, The Dragonfly Foundation® provided Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center’s Cancer & Blood Diseases Institute with another set of 25 new HP® laptops with webcams and warranties (the first set was donated in 2010). They also added to the number of tablets, gaming systems and other electronics they have donated to date with 40 iPad Mini’ s®, 6 PlayStation4®, 6 Xbox 360® systems, and 1 Wii® gaming system. To top off the news conference, they shared illustrations of one of three 7’ tall Power Tower® Charging Stations they will be donating, each is capable of quickly charging up to 12 mobile devices. The charging stations will be placed at the clinic and parents lounges of Cincinnati Children’s Main Campus and Liberty Campus locations.

The Dragonfly Foundation, a Cincinnati-based 501c3 nonprofit, has partnered with Cincinnati Children’s since 2010 to enhance the patient experience at the Cancer & Blood Diseases Institute, and to bring comfort and joy to kids and young adults enduring cancer and bone marrow transplants. The donation was made as part of Dragonfly’s Gifting Program and was sponsored by Zscaler, a leading Internet security company based out of San Jose, CA.

This donation will help young patients and their caregivers feel less isolated and more connected to family, friends, and the world outside the hospital.”
