Newport, KY – For everyone who loves Oktoberfest, romance and a good story to tell all your friends and family, there is no better place to get married than at Wiedemann’s Oktoberfest Newport! Complete with the best of German traditions to promote teamwork, partnership, forgiveness and love – the ceremony is as entertaining to watch as it is fun for the couple to participate in. This year, Campbell County District Judge Gregory Popovich will officiate in homage to the original Oktoberfest in Munich, which celebrated the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen.
The Wiedemann’s Oktoberfest Newport Wedding Committee has selected the 3 couples so now the public can vote on Facebook to determine which one will be married on September 28, 2013 at 7:30 PM on stage. Voting ends on Saturday, September 21 at 12:01 AM. In addition to the actual ceremony, the couple receives dinner & beverages for a wedding party of 10, a limousine ride and a hotel room for the evening.
In years past, the wedding couples have chosen very personal ways of exchanging their vows ranging from the full traditional German view to formal tux and a layered wedding gown. Oktoberfest Weddings also bring those married couples back each year to congratulate the new wedded couples. This year, we will add a new addition to our ‘family’ as last year’s wedding couple just welcomed their own little cream puff into the world last month- a beautiful baby girl.
