Aurora Casket Boasts Strong Presence at North Dakota FDA’s Annual Convention

Nation’s largest private casket manufacturer offers continuing education, sponsors luncheon

Aurora, INApril 27, 2012Last week, Lacy Robinson, senior professional development trainer for Aurora Casket, spoke at the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association’s annual convention.  The conference was held at the Ramada Plaza Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Fargo, N.D.  Robinson’s presentations were part of a seminar “Rethink and Retool for Real Results”.

“Lacy is one of the best presenters we have had.  Her material was very well organized and contained information much needed by the funeral director practicing in today’s complex market,” says Terry Henriksen, past executive director of NDFDA.  “Not only was the material pertinent, but Lacy delivered it in a way that made it easy to understand.”

“Rethink and Retool for Real Results” focused on ways to ensure that every person touched by the life lived feel emotionally connected to the funeral experience.  Topics Robinson touched on included how to communicate with different generational survivors, meet the needs of nonreligious families and which websites funeral directors can visit to inspire creative thinking. Robinson also shared practical insight on how to effectively communicate the value of cremation services over the phone and how to present cremation packages to families.

“In every presentation, I pose the question ‘How can you be different and better for your families?’” Robinson said. “To instill trust and establish an emotional connection with them, funeral directors need to be dedicated to improving both their own skills and their employees’. The goal of my presentations is to offer funeral service professionals practical solutions they can implement immediately to overcome challenges and make positive changes at their funeral home.”

In addition to offering CEU credits, Aurora sponsored a well-attended luncheon and had several caskets on display. It also exhibited its new memorial stationery line, Aurora Essentials.
