Former Local Healthcare Leader Returns to Tristate as Internationally Acclaimed Expert
Dr. David Nash speaks at Cincinnati Healthcare Leadership Series
Cincinnati, OH—April 12, 2012— Bond Hill-based TechSolve is inviting local healthcare leaders to an in-depth discussion on quality, safety and improving the healthcare system Thursday, April 19 featuring Dr. David Nash.
Nash served on the board to local Catholic Health Partners as chair of Quality and Safety from 1998 to 2008, and is now widely recognized for his work in outcomes management, medical staff development and quality-of-care improvement. Additionally, Nash is a preeminent healthcare policy expert and co-author of Demand Better! Revive Our Broken Healthcare System.
“TechSolve’s healthcare experts work to improve the quality of care in facilities across the region. We welcome Dr. Nash back to the Tri-State as arguably the foremost expert in this complex debate and we look forward to sharing his insight with the Cincinnati health care business community,” TechSolve president Gary Conley said.
Nash’s book and speaking opportunities focus on debunking healthcare myths through a quality centered not cost centered approach.
“Poor healthcare quality derives from uncertainty in clinical decision-making, from persistent unexplained variation in physician practice patterns, from still-inadequate accountability for quality and patient safety, from payment for piecework and from medical training curriculum that is decades behind the curve. Reclaiming quality by addressing each of these deficiencies will transform the economics of our healthcare system,” Nash says.
