Mary Hladio, president of Ember Carriers Leadership Group, an organizational performance consultant based in Blue Ash, was quoted in Human Resource Executive Online.
The article titled, “Sometimes You May Not Want Them to Stay!” by Lin Grensing-Pophal, offers advice based on a recent Accenture survey which revealed that a majority of employees are unsatisfied in the current jobs, but have no plans to leave their position.
Hladio suggests that it can be detrimental to productivity to have unsatisfied employees on staff. So, while it is great that employers are retaining employees, they need to up their game in engagement. Investing in the satisfaction of employees and creating an engaging environment can contribute productivity and retention.
